Live Healthy + Move Save the Date

LifeCenter Mission

Since 1981, we have worked closely with local hospitals to facilitate the recovery of organ and tissue donations, which has saved and healed countless lives in our community. We also continue to work hard to ensure our community is educated on the importance of registering to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.

It only takes one YES to save up to 8 lives, and numerous more through tissue donation.
Please register to become an organ, eye and tissue donor today and help us celebrate more than 40 years of saving and changing lives, right here in our community.

LifeCenter Path of Life

LifeCenter’s Path of Life was created in partnership with Cincinnati Parks as a destination for people connected organ, eye and tissue donation to honor, remember, celebrate and reflect.

How you can help

The Champion for Life, Theodore E. Smith, Legacy, and Samantha Jameson Vision Awards will be presented at the LifeCenter Community Breakfast on November 17, 2022

  • A Champion for Life is someone who has been an outstanding advocate for organ, eye and tissue donation. Anyone can be a Champion for Life! Past Champion for Life recipients have included physicians, nurses, teachers, organ recipients, donor families, work colleagues, friends, family members, religious leaders, volunteers, hospital staff and administration and so many in between.
  • The Theodore E. Smith Award, similar to the Champion for Life award, recognizes the impact of individuals who have made significant contributions in the education and/or promotion of the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation in communities of color in the Tri-State area. This award’s namesake is in honor of former LifeCenter employee, Theo E. Smith, who  passed away in 2004 but his legacy lives on through others.
  • The Legacy Award will be presented to a Donor Family who has made a significant contribution to furthering LifeCenter’s mission and vision in honor of their loved one.

  • The Samantha Jameson Vision Award will be presented to a LifeCenter staff member, who, like Sam, passionately advocates for the Gift of Life. The award is given to the staff member who has gone above and beyond to honor the selfless act of organ, eye and tissue donation. We were blessed to work with Samantha because she never took a single moment of life for granted, and the staff member presented with this award shares that passion for life.
